Background
Nalah's Way Therapy, founded by trauma-focused therapist Emily Lacasse in Nanaimo, BC, offers personalized individual and couples counseling, both in-person and virtually. Emily's approach is rooted in empathy and client-centered care, creating a nurturing environment for clients to explore their inner selves and heal from trauma's impact on the nervous system. Inspired by her late boxer puppy, Nalah, who embodied resilience and joy despite a genetic heart condition, the practice honors Nalah's spirit by fostering transformative healing journeys.

Creating Nalah’s Way was a deeply heartfelt project. Nalah’s memory lives on through this brand, honoring the profound impact she had on her owner’s life. We infused the essence of British Columbia’s mountains and sunsets, crafting a visual identity that feels warm, welcoming, and mystical—just like the love and wisdom Nalah left behind. Nalah's Way Therapy focuses on three evidence-based methodologies combined with a holistic approach, tailored to meet each client's unique needs and challenges
The primary goal of Nalah’s Way Therapy’s website design was to create a warm, intuitive, and calming digital experience that reflects the practice’s trauma-focused and holistic approach. We structured the site’s layout to simplify navigation, making it easier for clients to explore services, learn about Emily’s therapeutic approach, and book sessions. Accessibility was a key focus, ensuring a seamless experience across all devices while maintaining a soothing, user-friendly interface.
The final website embodies Nalah’s Way Therapy’s mission of healing and resilience and pays homage to her late dog. By refining the site’s visual identity, optimizing content for clarity, and enhancing usability, we created a platform that fosters trust and connection. The designed site not only improves engagement but also strengthens Nalah’s Way Therapy’s online presence, ensuring clients feel supported from their first visit.
